This lakefront Lakeland home had an old metal roof with rust spreading across the panels, an extra roof layer underneath, and an unused solar water heater on top. Our crew removed the metal and the layer below it, took down the solar water heater and capped its plumbing, removed an old furnace stack, and installed new plywood decking across the roof. The main roof got 38 squares of charcoal architectural shingles over synthetic underlayment, with ice and water shield around the penetrations and black drip edge at the eaves. The low slope section got a new 2-ply modified bitumen system. The job was permitted, and the crew finished with a final walkthrough and a pressure wash of the driveway.
Tear-off through final walkthrough in four days.
