Inspector
William Jenkins, Protek
This Tampa homeowner was selling her two-story farmhouse-style home when the buyer's inspection raised roof questions — and other companies kept giving her mixed answers with no explanation. Protek's William Jenkins inspected the roof himself, walked her through exactly what did and didn't need attention, and completed the repairs the following week so the sale could keep moving.
Inspection visit first, repairs completed the following week.
“William Jenkins from Protek gave me exceptional service. He went above and beyond to answer and explain all the questions that I had regarding my roof repairs (based on a recent house inspection). I am attempting to sell my home and had some issues with other companies giving me mixed information without explanation. He took the time to make sure I understood all details and provided the best customer service! Very affordable prices as well!! Highly recommend and would use him again!”
What we found
- ✕A buyer's inspection report with roof items that other companies had quoted inconsistently
- ✕Flashing and trim transitions at the second-story walls that needed resealing
- ✕Soffit and fascia sections showing wear at the gable overhangs
- ✕A structurally sound roof that needed targeted repairs, not the bigger work others had implied
What we did
- ✓Walked the roof and documented every inspection item with photos, explaining each one in plain language
- ✓Resealed and corrected the flashing transitions flagged in the report
- ✓Repaired the worn soffit and fascia sections at the overhangs
- ✓Delivered documentation the homeowner could hand to the buyer to clear the inspection items
